Bushel Fulfillment
Bushel Fulfillment is a revolutionary tool for managing direct shipment and commercial grain transactions.

My Role
Along with another designer on my team, we worked closely with our inner team members of developers and project managers to release a product that solves major headaches for users. So far we have released four major features, scale tickets, grade factor threshold notifications, recipients, and contracts. This is an ongoing project.
Problems and Solutions
Bushel Fulfillment sends grain buyer information directly to your accounting system, saving accountants time spent on manual data entry, error review, and reconciliation. Merchandisers benefit from timely information on scale tickets, allowing for quick error resolution and transaction logging. Locational managers benefit from timely, accurate information for prompt responses to producers and customers, reducing transaction errors and streamlining processes.
Project Showcase
Scale Tickets and Grain Factor Thresholds Notifications are two of the features that I have designed that have been marked as pain points when we conducted our user interviews. These designs have been backed up through moderated usability tests and reviewed by holistic evaluations by our team of designers.
Scale Tickets Dashboard
Creating the scale tickets dashboard was the first and largest of feature we have done for Bushel Fulfillment. From this dashboard, users can view all of their incoming scale tickets and make real time business decided based on the information. Users also have the ability to filter, view a summary or click on a ticket and see a more detailed view of that ticket.

Summary View
The summary view gives the user, at a high level, quick information that may be looking for during a work day. Users are able to filter and view grade factors for commodities that they find necessary for that days work.

Extended Card View
The extended card view gives a user is able to view a more detailed view of scale ticket.

Grade Factor Thresholds
As a merchandiser using Bushel Fulfillment, I want to receive notifications when grade factors on my company’s grain deliveries are outside of specified thresholds so that I can quickly identify and resolve any typos/errors with a specific grain delivery. Also, so that I can quickly address poor quality grain leaving my facility to still optimize the price I am selling my grain for.

Users can now choose the threshold at which they receive notifications for each commodity they select. This means that users can set a specific threshold for each chosen commodity and receive notifications when that threshold is met.

This view provides an overview of where the thresholds that a user created will be located. Users can edit, delete, and filter these lists. In addition, users can also create new thresholds and assign them to specific locations. This feature enables users to have greater control over the thresholds they create and to easily manage them.

What I Learned So Far
Bushel puts together some pretty amazing teams. There has been a lot of sweat put into this product and it will pay off. Working with another designer has been an amazing learning experience on how to best organize and assign tasks to one another. Working to each other’s strengths and having really good communication between ourself and the front developer has been something that I am learning more and more on this product.
